Saturday 15 – EcoCommun # 1: After a short introduction of the R-Urban Strategy in Colombes by aaa, Public Works (UK) presented their work by showing a series of recycling projects:
- “Banco de Repente” (“Suddenly a stool”), production of sitting furnitures conducted during opening week of Experimenta 09 (Lisbon), using materials derived from the installation of the exhibition.
- “Parks products” in Kensington Gardens, which develops a range of tradable goods, produced by both designers and users of the park.
- “International Village Shop” , an open and experimental platform for the development and exchange of local products through a network of rural and urban areas.
An exhibition on recycling techniques was organized and presented by aaa during the 3 days of EcoCommun and Workshop # 1.
Saturday 15, Sunday 16 and Monday 17 – Workshop # 1: The workshop began with a collective action of recovery of municipal waste that can be recycled through the creation of light structures for the first site of the R-Urban project in Colombes. Waste objects were collectively recovered from the wasteland and neglected but still accessible urban areas and also from small local businesses.
Participants in the three days of the workshop have collectively produced a display panel, tables and chairs for the garden from materials from the collection.
